In these Terms and Conditions, “Get Nailed Academy”, “the Academy”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Get Nailed Academy Ltd.
“Student”, “learner”, “customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the person purchasing, booking or attending one of our courses.
Get Nailed Academy provides professional nail education and practical training, including CPD-accredited courses.
Course information may include:
course content;
course duration;
course dates and times;
prices;
entry requirements;
required previous qualifications;
assessment requirements;
accreditation information;
products or equipment provided;
kit information; and
certification requirements.
The information displayed on the individual course page forms part of your agreement with us.
We may update course content from time to time to reflect changes in techniques, products, industry practices, health and safety requirements or accreditation standards.
Any change will not materially reduce the overall educational content or purpose of a course already booked.
You are responsible for checking the entry requirements for your chosen course before booking.
Certain advanced courses may require you to hold an existing qualification or certificate.
Where a prerequisite qualification is required, we may ask you to provide evidence before attending.
If you book a course without holding a clearly stated prerequisite qualification, we may refuse attendance or transfer you to a more appropriate course.
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant course page, students must be at least 16 years old to attend.
If you are under 18, we may require the consent of a parent or legal guardian before accepting or continuing your booking.
Courses may be booked:
through our website;
by telephone;
by email; or
directly with a member of the Get Nailed Academy team.
Submitting a booking does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A binding contract is formed when we confirm your booking and, where payment is required, the required payment has been successfully received.
You must provide complete and accurate information when making a booking.
You are responsible for checking:
your selected course;
your course date;
your name and contact information;
any entry requirements; and
any information included in your booking confirmation.
Please contact us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.
Course prices are displayed on our website and, unless otherwise stated, include VAT where applicable.
The price shown when you complete your booking will normally be the price you are required to pay.
We may change course prices at any time, but price changes will not normally affect a booking that has already been confirmed and paid for.
Any optional products, kits, equipment, additional training or other extras not expressly stated as being included in the course price may be charged separately.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available by us.
Where payment is made through an external payment provider, your payment may also be subject to that provider’s terms and conditions.
We do not normally store complete debit or credit card details ourselves.
Your place on a course is not guaranteed until any required payment or deposit has been received.
If a payment is reversed, declined, disputed or otherwise fails, we may suspend or cancel the associated booking until payment has been resolved.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes or reduces any rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
If you are a consumer and you book a course online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel your contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
The cancellation period normally begins when the contract between you and us is formed.
To exercise your statutory cancellation right, you should clearly tell us that you wish to cancel by contacting:
You do not need to use any particular wording.
If your course is due to begin during your statutory cancellation period, you may ask us to begin providing the service before that cancellation period expires.
Where you make such a request and subsequently cancel after the service has begun, we may be entitled to charge you a proportionate amount for services already provided.
Where the course or service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement, your statutory cancellation right may end once the service has been completed.
Your statutory rights will always take priority over any conflicting provision in these Terms.
The following policy applies after any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, unless the relevant course page or booking confirmation states different terms.
If you contact us more than 14 calendar days before your course begins, we will normally allow you to:
transfer your booking to another available date; or
request a refund.
Where a refund is requested, we may deduct reasonable non-recoverable costs that we have already incurred in connection with your booking where permitted by law.
If you cancel between 7 and 14 calendar days before the course start date, course fees are normally non-refundable.
At our discretion and subject to availability, we may allow you to transfer your booking once to another course date.
Bookings cancelled less than 7 calendar days before the course start date are normally non-refundable and non-transferable because of the limited opportunity for us to refill the training place.
If you do not attend your booked course and have not contacted us beforehand, this will be treated as a no-show and the course fee will normally be non-refundable.
We understand that genuine emergencies can occur.
We may, at our discretion, consider exceptional circumstances individually. We may request reasonable supporting information where appropriate.
Any discretionary refund or transfer does not create an obligation for us to provide the same outcome in another case.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
Where we agree to transfer your booking:
the new course date is subject to availability;
any price difference may be payable;
transfers are normally limited to one per booking unless we agree otherwise;
your booking remains personal to you unless we agree to a name change; and
further cancellation of a transferred course may not qualify for a refund except where required by law.
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to discuss a transfer.
Occasionally, we may need to:
change a course date;
change the tutor;
change the course timetable;
change the training room or venue;
make reasonable alterations to course content; or
cancel or postpone a course.
We will try to give you as much notice as reasonably possible.
If we cancel a course and cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will be entitled to a refund of the course fees you paid for the cancelled course.
If we reschedule a course and the new date is not reasonably suitable for you, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund in accordance with your legal rights.
We are not responsible for additional expenses such as travel, accommodation, childcare or loss of earnings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Students should therefore avoid making non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements where possible.
You are responsible for arriving at the time stated in your booking confirmation or course information.
Please aim to arrive sufficiently early to be ready for the scheduled start time.
Late arrival may result in:
missing important health and safety information;
missing practical demonstrations;
being unable to complete required course content; or
being refused participation where allowing late participation would affect safety, accreditation or other learners.
If you miss substantial parts of the course, additional training may be necessary before a certificate can be issued.
Any additional training may incur an additional fee where appropriate.
Our courses may involve practical nail treatments performed:
on yourself;
on another student;
on a model; or
as otherwise stated in the relevant course description.
You must follow all instructions provided by your tutor, particularly instructions concerning:
hygiene;
infection control;
product use;
allergies;
contraindications;
electrical equipment;
E-files;
UV or LED lamps;
tools;
chemical products; and
safe working practices.
You must not carry out a procedure that your tutor has instructed you not to perform.
You must inform us or your tutor before practical training if you have any relevant:
allergy;
sensitivity;
skin condition;
nail condition;
infection;
medical condition;
injury;
medication-related concern; or
other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely.
You should not participate in a treatment where you know or reasonably suspect that doing so could cause harm to you or another person.
Our tutors may stop or modify a practical activity where they reasonably believe there is a health, hygiene or safety concern.
Information provided by our tutors regarding nail conditions or contraindications is educational and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or professional medical advice.
The relevant course description will explain whether a training kit is included.
Where a kit is not included, products and tools may still be made available for use during the course.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, equipment or products made available for classroom use remain our property and must not be removed from the premises.
Students are responsible for taking reasonable care of Academy equipment.
We may seek payment for deliberate or reckless damage to equipment, subject to applicable law.
Attendance alone does not automatically guarantee certification where a course requires successful completion of practical work, theory, assessments or other requirements.
To receive a certificate, you may be required to:
attend the required training;
participate satisfactorily;
demonstrate required practical techniques;
complete assessments;
demonstrate appropriate health and safety practices; and
meet any accreditation requirements.
If further practice or assessment is required, your tutor will explain the appropriate next steps.
Where reasonable, additional assessment sessions may be subject to an additional fee.
Where a course is advertised as accredited, we aim to maintain the relevant accreditation applicable to that course.
Students remain responsible for checking whether a particular qualification or certificate meets the requirements of:
their employer;
salon;
insurer;
professional organisation;
local authority;
country of practice; or
any other relevant body.
Completing one of our courses does not guarantee:
employment;
a particular level of earnings;
business success;
insurance approval;
licensing approval; or
acceptance by every salon, insurer or professional organisation.
Students intending to offer treatments professionally should ensure that they obtain appropriate insurance and comply with any laws, local requirements and professional standards that apply to them.
We want the Academy to remain a safe, professional and respectful environment.
Students must not engage in:
abusive behaviour;
harassment;
discrimination;
intimidation;
threatening behaviour;
deliberate disruption;
unsafe working practices;
theft;
deliberate damage to property; or
behaviour that puts another person at risk.
We may ask a student to leave if their conduct creates a serious safety or behavioural concern.
Where removal is justified because of serious misconduct, course fees may not be refundable, subject always to your statutory rights.

They are provided for your personal learning and professional reference.

upload them to file-sharing services;
provide them as part of another training course;

represent our materials as your own.
You may use the skills and knowledge you personally learn during the course in your own professional nail services.
Students must not make substantial audio or video recordings of training sessions without permission.
Photography of your own practical work may normally be permitted provided it does not disrupt the course or invade another person’s privacy.
You must obtain permission before photographing or recording another student, model, tutor or member of staff.
We may occasionally ask whether students are happy for photographs or videos taken during training to be used for:
our website;
Instagram and other social media;
advertising;
promotional material; or
Academy portfolios.
Where consent is required, participation in promotional photography is voluntary.
You may refuse without affecting your course participation.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future use by contacting us, subject to material that has already been lawfully produced or published.
Some courses may include online learning materials, student accounts or digital resources.
Any login details provided to you are personal and should not be shared with another person.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
We may suspend an account where we reasonably suspect:
unauthorised access;
sharing of paid course content;
misuse of our platform; or
a security issue.
We aim to keep our website accurate and available.
However, occasional errors, technical problems or temporary interruptions may occur.
Images used on our website are generally illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise.
We may update the website and its content without notice.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or security of independent third-party websites.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
any statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
Where you purchase a course wholly or mainly for business or professional purposes, different legal protections may apply to your booking.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have.
Nail treatments involve professional techniques, products and equipment.
After completing training, you are responsible for:
working within your competence;
continuing to practise safely;
following manufacturers’ instructions;
maintaining appropriate hygiene;
identifying contraindications;
using suitable professional products;
obtaining appropriate insurance; and
complying with applicable professional and legal requirements.
Get Nailed Academy cannot supervise or control services you provide independently after completing your course.
We will not be responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Examples may include:
severe weather;
transport disruption;
power failure;
government restrictions;
public-health emergencies;
serious illness;
building or venue emergencies; or
other events that make it unsafe or impractical to deliver training.
Where possible, we will try to rearrange affected training or offer an appropriate alternative.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your booking or training, please contact us so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.
